2026 in BLOOM

Welcome summer! The Gates Mills Garden Club will celebrate National Garden Week from June 7 through June 13 with daily garden-related events, starting with Mayor Siemborski’s proclamation on June 7 at 5 pm at the Garden Club. We will have two special programs during the week:
  • For members, we will have our monthly program and luncheon at the Gates Mills Community House on June 9 with Prof. Laura Deeter’s compelling program on color theory in the garden - how to combine colors and keep the color going in the garden through the seasons.
  • Open to the public on June 10 at 5:30 pm at the Gates Mills Garden Club at 1280 Chagrin River Road: Out with the New… In with the Old: Returning our Frontier Forest to Your Backyard, with Eddie Lagucki, Master Arborist and Erick Carlson, PhD, Gates Mills Tree Canopy Committee Member. This promises to be an engaging program, complete with native plant gifts and refreshments.
RSVP: [email protected]

Check out all of the National Garden Week events and all the details under Happenings, and we hope to see you there!

Fast on its heels is Through the Garden Gate Garden Tour on June 19 and 20. The Garden Club’s major biennial fundraiser heralds the summer solstice with the opportunity to tour gorgeous private gardens in the area. Tickets for the self-guided Garden Tour are now on sale. A limited number of tickets remain for the deluxe Grand Tour on a comfortable motorcoach with a docent-led guided tour that includes a bonus garden, lunch at the Hunt Club and other perks. See the 2026 Garden Tour link above for detailed information.

During the Garden Tour from 10 am to 4 pm on June 19 and 20, the Gates Mills Garden Club at 1280 Chagrin River Road will host a garden-inspired vendor boutique inside its Barn along with a fabulous raffle and silent auction - no garden tour ticket required for entry.

All proceeds from the Garden Tour will be used for our many beautification, educational, and charitable projects in the community, including the Gates Mills Arboretum.

Happy Gardening!
