2025 in BLOOMOur gardens beckon as the days finally warm up. All members are invited to join the horticultural team at the garden club on Mondays at 9:30 am for a one hour gardening session alongside the hort pros to develop and maintain the club gardens. Have fun, learn and see the difference that pruning makes in keeping our gardens looking their best. Don’t forget gloves and pruners. And as you start noticing your own gardens emerging, please keep in mind that we need your beautiful plants (perennials, annuals, herbs, shrubs and houseplants) that you can dig and divide for our popular plant sale on May 24. Plants should be potted up by May 3 to allow root establishment. Help is always available.
Besides hands-on gardening at the garden club, April brings several excellent talks about gardening. Please see the April member calendar on the website for these events, and don’t forget to register for them. Garden shopping opportunities abound! Pre-order native plants from Meadow City Nursery from April 5 to May 18 using the link https://bit.ly/gatesmillsplants or the QR code on the April Pink Sheet page and the Gates Mills Arboretum native plant restoration effort will receive 15% of the proceeds.
